Finland sees more bankruptcies in Feb

A total of 379 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in Finland in February 2026, which is 51 bankruptcies more than in the corresponding period one year before, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 928, which is 324 staff-years fewer than in February 2025.
The 12-month moving annual change in instigated bankruptcy proceedings was 11 per cent in February 2026.
A total of 32 enterprises in manufacturing, 51 in trade and 72 in construction filed for bankruptcy.
In January 2026, Finland saw record high bankruptcies on monthly level since October 1997.
