Manufactured goods see 3.7% lower value in October

The value of new orders in manufacturing was 3.7 per cent lower in October 2025 than twelve months earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

Enterprises received fewer new orders in the chemical industry and in the manufacture of paper, and paper and board products.

Orders decreased most in the chemical industry where the value of orders was 27.3 per cent lower than in the year before.

In the manufacture of paper, and paper and board products, the value of new orders was 8.5 per cent lower than a year earlier.

New orders in the metal industry grew by 1.8 per cent from one year ago.
