New car registration rises by 5% in Finland in October

A total of 6,219 new passenger cars were registered in October 2025, which was 5 per cent more than one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.
In all, 10,562 new vehicles were registered in October. First registrations increased by 3 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.
In January to October period of 2025, a total of 60,167 new passenger cars were registered, which was 2 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
Of first-time registered passenger cars in October, 36 per cent were fully electric.
The number of electric cars registrations was 2,225, or 17 per cent higher than one year earlier.
A total of 2,492 new petrol-fuelled passenger cars were registered in October, which was 3 per cent more than one year earlier.
