Metso axes 80 jobs globally, 43 in Finland

Minerals processing and metals company Metso decided to cut about 80 jobs including 43 in Finland, said the company in a press release on Thursday.

Metso completed the local consultation processes initiated on October within parts of its Minerals business area.

Earlier on October 7, 2025, the company started a codetermination negotiation targeting annual cost reductions of EUR 13 million.

The consultations focused on adjustments to the operating model and efficiency measures.

Metso has about 17,000 employees globally, and in Finland it employs around 3,000 people in several locations.
