Finland sees more bankruptcies in Sep

A total of 289 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in September 2025, which is 15 more than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,074, which is 144 staff-years fewer than in September 2024.
The 12-month moving annual change in instigated bankruptcy proceedings was nine per cent in September.
Twenty-one enterprises in manufacturing, 47 in trade and 57 in construction activities are among others filed for bankruptcy.
