Prices of liquid fuel drop in August

Average prices of liquid fuels decreased in August 2025 compared to the prior month, according to Statistics Finland.
The average price with taxes for diesel was EUR 1.6 and for petrol 95, EUR 1.7 per litre.
The equivalent average price for petrol 98 was EUR 1.8 and for light fuel oil EUR 1.2.
The annual change of the average price for diesel was minus 8.0 per cent.
The annual change of the average price for petrol 95 was minus 8.6 per cent, for petrol 98 it was minus 8.7 per cent and for light fuel oil was minus 7.6 per cent.
The monthly change of the average price was biggest for light fuel oil (minus 4.7%) and smallest for petrol 95 (minus 2.9%).
