Prices of old dwelling houses drop in Finland in May

The prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.3 per cent year-on-year in the whole country in May 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

Compared with the previous month, prices decreased by 0.4 per cent. Prices declined in all large towns relative to a year ago.

Prices declined most in Vantaa (5.2%) and in Espoo (4.9%).

Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 2.3 per cent in the six largest towns in May 2025 compared with one year ago.

Outside large towns, prices, however, increased by 0.2 per cent.

In Greater Helsinki, prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 2.4 per cent from one year ago and by 1.2 per cent in compared with the previous month.

In the whole country, prices of dwellings in blocks of flats decreased by 1.7 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 0.6 per cent compared with one year ago.
