Average prices of liquid fuels drop in May

Average prices of liquid fuels decreased in May 2025 compared to the previous month, according to Statistics Finland.
The average price with taxes for diesel was EUR 1.6 and for petrol 95, EUR 1.8 per litre.
The equivalent average price for petrol 98 was EUR 1.9 and for light fuel oil EUR 1.2.
The annual change of the average price for diesel was minus 7.9 per cent, petrol 95 was minus 6.9 per cent and petrol 98 was minus 6.6 per cent in May 2025.
The annual change of the average price for light fuel oil was minus 16.1 per cent.
The monthly change of the average price was biggest for diesel ( minus 4.7%) and smallest for petrol 98 ( minus1.6%).
