Price of old house rises in March from Feb but drops Y-on-Y

The prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.6 per cent year-on-year in the whole country in March 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

Compared with the previous month, prices increased by 1.0 per cent.

Among large towns, prices rose year-on-year in Turku (1.2%) and in Tampere (0.7%). Prices declined most in Helsinki (2.4%) and in Oulu (1.7%).

Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.2 per cent in the six largest towns and by 2.3 per cent in outside large towns in March 2025 compared with one year ago.

In Greater Helsinki, prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.7 per cent from one year ago but went up by 0.9 per cent from the previous month.

In the whole country, prices of dwellings in blocks of flats decreased by 1.2 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 2.4 per cent compared with one year ago.

In March, 30 per cent more sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
