House rents go up in Finland in 2025 Q1

Rents of non-subsidised dwellings increased by 0.1 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 1.4 per cent in the first quarter of this year compared to the January-March period of the last year, according to Statistics Finland.
The rents rose most in Rovaniemi (2.5 %), Oulu (2.1 %), Hämeenlinna and Tampere (1.9 %) and least in Espoo (0.2 %). The rents decreased in Vantaa by 0.3 per cent.
In January to March 2025, rents have risen most from the previous year in one-room flats in Rovaniemi (2.1%), in two-room flats also in Rovaniemi (2.5%) and in family dwellings in Tampere (2.7%)
Rents of non-subsidised one-room flats remained unchanged in Greater Helsinki compared to the previous year.
In the rest parts of Finland, rents of one-room flats went up by 1.3 per cent.
Rents of government-subsidised dwellings went up by 4.6 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 3.6 per cent in the rest of the country in a year.
Rents of government-subsidised dwellings rose most in Turku, by 6.0 per cent, and in Kotka, by 5.3 per cent.
