Prices of dwelling houses increase slightly in October

The prices of old dwellings in housing companies increased by 0.4 per cent in the whole country year-on-year in October 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

Compared to the previous month, prices increased by 0.9 per cent.

Among large towns, prices declined year-on-year in Tampere by 1.9% and in Helsinki by 0.2%.

Prices increased most in Turku (6.0%) and in Oulu (2.6%).

Prices of old dwellings in housing companies increased by 0.5 per cent in the six largest towns and by 0.1 per cent in outside large towns in October 2024 compared with one year ago.

In Greater Helsinki, prices of old dwellings in housing companies increased by 0.1 per cent from one year ago and by 1.3 per cent in compared with the previous month.

In the whole country, prices of dwellings in blocks of flats increased by 0.4 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 0.3 per cent compared with one year ago.

In October, 27 per cent more sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
