More bankruptcies filed in January

A total of 287 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in January 2023, according to Statistics Finland.

The number is 71 higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,109.

The number of staff-year is also 108 higher than in January 2022.

In December 2022, a total of 222 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated, which is 16 more than in the corresponding period one year earlier.

A total of 230 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in November 2022, which is 11 fewer than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

In October, a total of 209 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated, which is exactly the same number as in the corresponding period one year earlier.
