Dead newborn found in dumpster in Canada

A dead newborn was found in a dumpster Friday morning in downtown Saskatoon, the largest city of Canadian province of Saskatchewan, according to Saskatoon Police.

Police are unsure when the baby was born or how long the baby has been dead, and an autopsy is planned for next Tuesday.

Police are searching for the baby's mother, asking the public to report any suspicious incidents to them.

"There is an urgent need to locate the mother of this child. She is believed to have given birth recently and may be in a vulnerable physical and emotional state. Our priority is to assist in providing the supports needed to the woman involved," said the police.
