Real Madrid will be without Belgian international winger Eden Hazard for around two months after the club confirmed he suffered a "fracture to his right distal fibula."

Hazard was forced to limp out of Madrid's 1-0 defeat to Levante on Saturday after 67 minutes. Coach Zinedine Zidane commented that the winger's injury "doesn't look good and it is more than a knock."

Tests on Sunday morning confirmed the fracture, which came in just his second game back in the side after missing 83 days with an ankle injury which he suffered against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League in November.

Hazard will miss the Champions League last 16-tie against Manchester City and next weekend's 'Clasico' at home to FC Barcelona.

Although the club did not give a possible date for his return to action, a fracture is likely to sideline the winger for between six weeks and two months, meaning he could miss around 12 games, depending on Real Madrid's progress in Europe.

Hazard has already missed 18 games through injury this season and Spanish sports paper Diario AS informs that in his seven seasons with Chelsea he only missed a total of 20 due to physical problems.
