1 killed in car-truck collision at Närpiö

One person was killed and another injured in a road accident at Närpiö in Ostrobothnia region on Tuesday.
The police said the accident took place at about 8:00 am when a private car skidded off the road and moved to the opposite lane in Rantatieat Töjby area and collided head on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the car died on the spot while the driver of the truck sustained wounds at his leg in the accident.
Both the vehicles were damaged in the accident.
The police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating the accident.
