According to the preliminary statistics for February, 4,917 persons immigrated to Finland from abroad in January-February and 2,084 persons emigrated from Finland.
The number of immigrants was 146 lower and the number of emigrants 221 lower than in the corresponding period of the previous year. In all, 1,160 of the immigrants and 1,383 of the emigrants were Finnish citizens.
