The works of Helsinki Photo Festival’s 2020 edition are on display at the Stoa Cultural Centre in Itäkeskus as well as at the inner yard and on the Museokatu-Töölönkatu Wall of the National Museum of Finland.

The theme of this outdoor photo festival this year is TRUST, said the City of Helsinki in a press release.

The opening of the festival was celebrated at the National Museum’s inner yard on Wednesday with a free event open for all.

The works of the festival were chosen by an international professional jury. Works were offered to the festival by more than 300 candidates from around the world, and the jury picked 50 of the candidates to exhibit their works at the festival. Some of the works will be on display at the Stoa until August. Works are also on display at the Culture Factory Korjaamo and at the Helsinki Central Railway Station.

The National Museum of Finland hosts the festival’s Nordic Village. Works will be on display at the museum until September.

The Helsinki Photo Festival is a Finnish non-profit organisation that promotes photography and distributes information on photography.
