New car registration rises by 14% in April

A total of 7,304 new passenger cars were registered in April 2023, which was 14 per cent more than one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

In all, 13,203 new vehicles were registered in April. First registrations increased by 0.4 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

Of first-time registered passenger cars, 32 per cent were electric. The number electric cars registrations was 2,347, tripled from the corresponding month of the previous year.

Used imported passenger numbered 2,623, which was 29 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
