Old dwelling prices in Helsinki rise in July

The prices of old dwellings of housing companies rose by 3.4 per cent in Greater Helsinki compared to that in July 2019 and fell by 1.3 per cent in the rest of Finland, according to the Statistics Finland.

Compared to June, the prices went up by 1.2 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 1.6 per cent in the rest of the country.

Based on transactions made through real estate agents, around three per cent more transactions of old dwellings of housing companies were made in July compared to that in the corresponding month of last year.

According to preliminary data, among the big cities, the prices rose in Helsinki, Tampere, Oulu, and Espoo year on year, while they remained almost unchanged in Turku and fell slightly in Vantaa.

The same number of dwellings in blocks of flats was sold through real estate agents in July as one year previously and six per cent more dwellings in terraced houses than that in the corresponding month of last year.
