Card payments experience glitch

Card payments experienced problems with the execution of payments on Wednesday afternoon, reported national broadcaster Yle.

The problem started at around 12:00 and lasted for 50 minutes. During the period some cards experienced problems with payments.

The glitch arised from service provider network disruption which affected some card payments, said Arto Kajaste, press officer at Nets. On the other hand, some card experienced no disruption.

Kajaste revealed that the problem has since been corrected. There were also some problem with logging in to OP to access services such as social insurance institution Kela and the Tax Administration.
