Ruoholahti suspect remanded to custody

The Helsinki police on Wednesday said the 18-year-old man suspected of attempted murder at Ruoholahti metro station has been remanded in custody.

Earlier on Monday, the police said the man armed with a knife is suspected of two attempted murders, said a police bulletin.

The investigation, however, revealed that the same suspect also tried to harm a third person.

The 19-year-old woman was not injured in the incident.

The police continue to appeal to eye witnesses to contact them.
