15 die over COVID-19 in Iran: ministry

Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced Tuesday that the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country has claimed the lives of 15 people over the past week.

The disease has affected 95 people and 15 of them have died, Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Health and Medical Education, was quoted as saying by semi-official ISNA News Agency.

The affected people in the country were either from Iran's central Qom city or has been in contact with the infected people in Qom, Jahanpur said.
