Season highest temperature 32.2 °C recorded in Vesanto

Saturday was the hottest day of the year, reported Finnish language daily Savon Sanomat.
According to the Met Office, the highest temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Vesanto.
The mercury rose above 30 degrees Celsius elsewhere in Northern Savo. For example, 32 degrees Celcius was recorded in Kuopio and 30.9 degrees Celsius in Vieremä.
Further rise in temperature is not expected as the day wanes.
