The aviation union (Ilmailualan Unioni- IAU) announced to go for a strike at Helsinki Airport on Friday, which will affect the service for passengers requiring assistance at the airport, said a press release issued by the country’s airports operating company Finavia.
The stoppage is scheduled to start on 15 June at 5 am and will end 16 June at 5 am. The service for passengers requiring assistance cannot be handled during the stoppage.
The strike has been called for a collective agreement dispute between IAU and the service provider, Lassila &Tikanoja, the press release added.
Passengers who need assistance services are asked to contact their airline or travel agent well in advance.
Finavia also apologised for any inconvenience that may cause the passengers due to the strike.
