The Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (Helsingin seudun liikenne – HSL) will switch to normal summer timetable for public transport from 15 June, said the City of Helsinki in a press release.

Most of the services have been operating on a reduced timetable since spring because of the coronavirus; so changes, for example, to bus lines are minor.

Street and track works will also affect to public transport.

Because of a bridge work in Pukinmäki, R and Z trains will operate a reduced service outside of rush hours.

During the rush hours, there will be two R trains per hour. At other times and on weekends R trains will run once in an hour. There are also changes to Z trains’ schedule, while D trains will not operate during the summer months.

K trains will operate a reduced service running every 20 minutes from Monday to Friday at 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, but the trains will have extra carriages throughout the day from Monday to Friday.

At rush hours, the Metro will run between Itäkeskus and Tapiola every 3.75 minutes. Services to Matinkylä as well as to Mellunmäki and Vuosaari will run every 7.5 minutes.

Buses have been operating by a reduced summer timetable since 20 April. Most of the buses will continue to operate by their current timetables. There will be a Sunday service on Saturdays and no extended night service on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Suomenlinna ferry has started to operate a more frequent summer service from Saturday due to increased demand.

A more frequent weekday service has been operating since 8 June. Passenger numbers on the ferry are limited to ensure physical distancing onboard the ferry.

All tram timetables will change on 15 June but headways will mainly remain unchanged. Tram 5 is not running until further notice. Tram 2 will be diverted from15 June, Monday. Tram routes 7 and 9 will be diverted from 29 June to 12 July.
