PSG, Man Utd face UEFA charges for fans' misconduct

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United faced charges from the UEFA on Wednesday for their respective fans' misconduct in a Champions League round of 16 match.

Manchester United lost 2-0 at home to the PSG. Their fans threw objects, mainly targeting at the former Red Devil player Angel Di Maria. The Argentine winger, who shone with two assists, was captured in action of mocking drinking after picking up the beer bottle thrown from home fans.

The other charge against the Manchester United fans was blocking stairways in contrast to relevant security rules.

Apart from throwing of objects, the PSG fans faced charges of setting off fireworks, acts of damages and crowd disturbance.

The UEFA said that its Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on Feb. 28.

Paris Saint-Germain will host Manchester United in the return leg at the Parc des Princes on March 6.
