The 2020 Medio Marathon Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP, scheduled for 25 October has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, said a press release.

The cancellation of the event, after months of working on this historic edition of the race, has come as a great blow to all of us in SuperHalfs, but the safety of all runners, the general public, volunteers and the organising team is considered.

Under present circumstances it proved impossible to guarantee everyone’s health and safety.

The organisers thanked the runners and partners for their understanding and support, in these difficult and unprecedented circumstances.

All registered runners, will receive instructions from SD Correcaminos on the options available regarding their 2020 race entries and how to proceed with their chosen option: Swap your 2020 entry for a place in the 2021 edition (24 October 2021), request a full refund of your entry (with the exception of the voluntary charitable donation (which will be paid as planned to PayaSOSpital, this year’s charity) and donate the entry fee as a token of your solidarity with the Race Organization, the press release added.

The organisers announced that the SuperHalfs Journey will begin next year. Runners can begin their challenge of running the 5 halfs, in a period of 36 months, in one of the cities Prague, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Cardiff or Valencia, from March 2021.
