Pharmacy, R-Kioski robbed in Oulu

A pharmacy and an R-Kioski in Oulu were robbed in two separate incidents on Monday evening, the police said.

Two masked robbers stormed into Merikoski Pharmacy (Merikosken Apteekki) in the city’s Latokartanontie area at about 5:10 pm and took away cash from the store, said a police press release.

One of the robbers was seen dressed in black hoodie, black trousers, sunglass and black gloves and the second one was wearing black jacket, black shoes, black trousers and sunglass. The pair fled the scene immediately.

The police said they took a small amount of money from the pharmacy and no one was hurt during the robbery.

In the second incident, a man entered Höyhtyä R-kioski in the city’s Latokartanontie area at about 7:05 pm and robbed the shopkeeper of cash at knife point.

He also managed to escape after the robbery and no one was hurt in the incident, said the police press release.

Extensive searches are going on to arrest the robbers.
