The city of Tampere has been ranked as the most attractive place to live in Finland for the sixth time, reported the national broadcaster Yle based on a survey report published Monday.

About 37 per cent of the respondents in the survey said they’d consider moving to Tampere followed by Turku and Jyväskylä.

About 28 per cent observed that they are interested to move to Turku, said the survey.

Taloustutkimus conducted the survey through interviews with 3,500 Finns.

Taloustutkimus Research Director Outi Salonen told Yle that Tampere topped the biennial survey since at least 2010.

Tampere also secured the top position for overall impression as a place to live, followed by Turku, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, and Kuopio.

A separate poll, however, suggested that residents of Kauniainen and Pirkkala are most satisfied with their municipalities, said the Yle report.
