3 killed in car-trailer collision in Kestilä

Three people were killed in a road mishap in the Kestilä area of northern Ostrobothnia region on Saturday morning.

The police said the accident took place at about 10:00 AM, when a private car coming from Vaala collided head-on with a trailer coming from the opposite direction in Vaalantie area.

All the three people in the car, including a woman, were killed on the spot. All the victims were 19 to 30 years old and hailed from northern Ostrobothnia, said the police.

The police and the Safety Investigation Authority are investigating the accident.

The police will divulge detail information in this regard later.
