Man who tried to attack Soini to be charged

A prosecutor has decided to charge the man who attempted to attack former foreign minister Timo Soini in March last year, reported the national broadcaster Yle.
The incident took place in March 2019.
At the time of the incident, Soini was campaigning for Sininen Tulevaisuus (Blue Reform) in Korso, Vantaa.
According to the report, the man has been accused of assault, violently resisting arrest. The charge of violating political freedom is also under consideration.
Soini is founder of the Finns Party. Since the breakup of the party in June 2017, Soini has represented the Blue Reform, established by MPs who left the Finns Party
