1 killed in road mishap in Lumijoki

A man was killed in a road accident on Highway 8 in Lumijoki on Saturday night, said a police bulletin.

The accident involved a personal car and a trailer. Police arrived at the scene at around 7:00 PM together with a number of rescue and emergency units.

According to the police, the passenger car for unknown reason hit the front of the trailer, causing the trailer to overturn.

The driver of the badly damaged passenger car died in the accident. Both Neither the car nor the trailer was carrying any passengers other than their drivers.

The trailer’s driver was taken to the Oulu University Hospital for examination.
