A student was injured when another student attacked the victim with sharp blade at Sampo School in Tampere on Thursday, local media reported quoting police.
The school hosts students from grade 1 to grade 9 and police suspect that both the attacker and victims are minor.
The school authority called police after the attack in the morning at about 8:00 and the law enforcing agency member took the suspect to custody.
Tuija Viitasaari, Head of Education for the City of Tampere, told a Finnish language newspaper Aamulehti that school work would continue as usual on Thursday, reported National broadcaster Yle.
