National broadcaster Yle investigative report MOT has revealed how undocumented workers living in the country are exploited by employers, reported national broadcaster Yle.

According to the report, the police suspect immigrant workers and asylum seekers working in hairdressing salons are being exploited in order to keep prices low.

The report said that the problem does not only manifest in the hairdressing industry but also in other sectors such as construction, restaurants and in the forestry industry.

The Workers have for example, lodged complaints for working long hours with little pay.
