Man held on charge of killing partner in Lahti

The District Court of Päijät-Häme on Wednesday remanded a 30-year old man in custody in suspicion of killing his 28-year old partner, said the police in a bulletin.
The police were informed by the emergency response centre about a domestic violence incident which had taken place at a private residence in Lahti on Sunday morning.
A concerned individual alerted the emergency response centre prompting a police patrol to launch an operation.
The suspect was apprehended at the yard and was taken to police custody.
The case is being investigated as murder.
