A person who visited the Töölö Library in Helsinki early this week was later tested positive for coronavirus, triggering the alarm of mass coronavirus exposure risk, said the City of Helsinki in a press release on Friday.

Library sources said that the person was present at the reading room of the library on 7 September in between 9:00am and 1:00pm and on the 4th floor between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, and people who were present at those places at those times may have been exposed to the coronavirus.

They are urged to monitor their health closely for two weeks until the 21st of September.

They should seek out coronavirus testing even with mild symptoms.

Meanwhile, five adolescents have contracted coronavirus after visiting Heidi’s Bier Bar in Turku on 3 September, which also created risk for mass coronavirus exposures, said the City of Turku in a press release on Friday.

The people who visited the bar on that day are urged to be attentive to their health situation and get tested for coronavirus, if they experience any symptoms, even mild ones.

Exposures to coronavirus may also have taken place on 5 September in the night club Studio.

The city authorities are investigating into the cases, the press release added.
