10 more coronavirus infection cases detected in Finland

The number of coronavirus infection cases rises to 40 in Finland as the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Tuesday confirmed 10 more people infected with virus.

Out of the new cases, three were detected in the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District, three cases in the Central Finland Hospital District, one case in Kanta-Häme Hospital District, one case in the Hospital District of Southwest Finland, one case in North Karelia Hospital District and one case in the North Savo Hospital District.

Earlier, THL on Monday said so far, 30 laboratory-confirmed cases of infection by the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been diagnosed in Finland. Twenty-three of them are related to tourism and the rest are secondary infections.

According to the update, a total of 25 coronavirus cases were detected in Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), five in Pirkanmaa Hospital District (PSHP), three in Kanta-Häme Hospital District (KHSHP), Three in Middle Finland Hospital District, two in North Savo Hospital District (PSSHP), two in Southwest Finland Hospital District (VSSHP) and one in South Karelia Social and Health Care District (Eksote), Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District (PPO), Lapland Hospital District (LSPH), Päijät-Häme Hospital District (PHHYKY) each.
