25,233 coronavirus cases confirmed in France, 1,331 deaths

France has confirmed 25,233 coronavirus infection cases, among which 1,331 people have died, Director General of Health Jerome Salomon announced on Wednesday.

A total of 11,539 people are now hospitalized, including 2,827 in intensive care, said Salomon, adding that 3,900 are considered recovered and discharged from the hospital.

"The crisis will be long and the next few days will be difficult," said the health official, calling on the public to "stand together".
