Germany confirms 3 more novel coronavirus cases

Three more cases of infection with the novel coronavirus were confirmed in Germany's Bavaria, local health authorities announced on Tuesday evening.

All three cases are related to the first case which was confirmed on Monday. Like the first patient, the three new patients are also employees of the company, Webasto, in the Bavarian town of Starnberg, the health authorities said in a press release.

The three new patients will be admitted to the same hospital as the first one, where they will be medically monitored and isolated, said the press release.

A total of around 40 employees of the company who could be considered as close contacts were identified. Those affected will be tested on Wednesday as a precaution, it added.
