Building costs increase by 1.7% in April

Building costs rose by 1.7 per cent in April 2018 compared with the previous year's April, according to Statistics Finland.

The prices of materials went up by 2.6 per cent, those of services by 1.6 per cent and those of labour inputs by 0.6 per cent compared with April 2017.

From March to April, the total index of building costs remained unchanged.

The prices of materials rose by 0.3 per cent in a month. The prices of labour inputs went down by 0.3 per cent and those of services by 0.1 per cent.
