The Finnish state has sold its 85 per cent holding in Raskone Ltd, which specialises in servicing and maintenance of utility vehicles, to the Finnish multi-sector group Lease Deal Group Oyj.

The state’s revenue from the sale is EUR 7.2 million, which includes repayment of subordinated loan granted to Raskone, said a government press release.

In the same deal, the wholly state-owned special assignment company Governia Oy sold its 15 per cent holding in Raskone Ltd.

“Under the government’s state ownership policy, holdings can, if necessary, be relinquished in a controlled manner, though on the other hand, companies may also be created, if necessary. The state has no strategic interest in Raskone ownership, and the deal enhances the company’s scope for growth and development in a challenging market,” said Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä, who is responsible for state ownership steering.
