Value of industrial output ups to EUR 78b in 2016

The value of the sold output of manufacturing industry was around EUR 78 billion in 2016, according to Statistics Finland.

The value increased by less than one per cent from the previous year. The metal industry had a share of 41 per cent in total value of sold output, the chemical industry 21 per cent, the forest industry 20 per cent, and the food industry 11 per cent.

The data in the statistics on industrial output for 2016 were updated in the StatFin data service on 23/11/2017.

The data for 2015 and 2014 have also been updated. The statistics contain data on the value and volume of sold domestic output by commodity heading as well as data on the volume of total domestic output.
