Used car dealer Bilmax opens outlet in Sweden

Rovaniemi-based used car dealer Bilmax has opened an outlet at Haparanda in Sweden on October 27.

Bilmax Haparanda is the third outlet of the dealerships with low prices and customer self-service after Rovaniemi and Vantaa, said Jouko Herajärvi, an official of Herajärvi Car Centre, the company which runs Bilmax with sole concentration on used cars.

“After two-week preparations, we have launched the new Haparanda outlet, near Ikea in Sweden with about 40 cars,” Herajärvi told the Daily Finland.

Earlier, Bilmax set up its second outlet in Vantaa after opening the first in Rovaniemi on September 15, 2016.

The policy of the business is the customer will not need to pay for fancy heating facilities and this is a way to maintain a low-price point by eliminating extra expenses.

“We now have about 60 cars in Rovaniemi and 30 cars in Vantaa,” Herajärvi said, adding that they expect to sell 20 to 30 cars on an average every week.

Bilmax will also introduce new forms of car dealership. Some cars will be auctioned off at huutokaupat.com website; some budget cars will be sold without warranty to be fixed by DIY enthusiasts.

Customers may also leave their own cars to be sold by Bilmax on sales account. The dealership will have a digital screen for auctioning some of the cars.

There is a small dealership in Norway under the name of Bilmax, but then Bilmax run by Herajärvi has nothing to do with the Norwegian one, said the company official, adding that they have trademark-protected Bilmax name in all of Europe.

Bilmax remains open for trading from 9.00 am to 6.00pm on weekdays in Rovaniemi, 11.00 am to 5.00pm on weekdays in Vantaa and from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on Saturday in both places while Sunday is holiday.

The Rovaniemi outlet, which was earlier at Teollisuustie 4 also has been shifted to a new address at Teollisuustie 14B from this month.

The new outlet in Sweden will remain open from Swedish time 11.00 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday, from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm on Friday, 10.00am to 2.00pm on Saturday and 12.00 to 2.00pm on Sunday.
