There will be service interruptions in all systems of Finnish Customs and the EU at the turn of the year due to the Brexit, said the Finnish Customs in a recent release.

The systems can’t be used during the interruptions.

A service interruption will take place in all the systems of Finnish Customs from midnight to 1:00 AM on 1 January 2021. The fallback procedure can be used during this time.

The EU-systems that will be unavailable include BTI service for binding tariff information from 9:00 PM on 30 December 2020 to 4:00 PM on 1 January 2021, eAEO service for authorised economic operators from 9:00 AM on 28 December to 4:00 PM on 1 January 2021, and The INF service for special procedures from 9:00 PM on 31 December 2020 to 4:00 PM on 1 January 2021.

People can use the CDS system for authorisations involving more than one member states but the application will be processed somewhat slower at Customs due to a system update on 29 December 2020 to 1 January 2021.
