The Port of Helsinki has been shortlisted for the IAPH World Ports Sustainability (WPS) Awards, said a press release issued by the Helsinki Port.

“Being a sustainable development forerunner has been made a spearhead project in Port of Helsinki’s corporate-level strategy. The port has put together and published an ambitious Carbon Neutrality 2035 programme in 2019. While the port is pledging to be fully carbon neutral by 2035 at the latest, a strong focus of the programme is also on incentivising and helping customers and stakeholders in their own carbon neutrality work,” said the release.

The port authorities urged people to cast vote by clicking the following link: https://sustainableworldports.org/iaph-world-ports-sustainability-awards-2020/vote/.

The public vote for the IAPH World Ports Sustainability Awards is open until 28 February and the public vote will co-determine the winners to be announced during the Gala Dinner of the upcoming IAPH 2020 World Ports Conference in Antwerp on March 18.
