New car registration ups slightly in November

A total of 13,756 new motor vehicles were registered in the country in November, of which 10,037 were automobiles, according to Statistics Finland.

First registrations decreased by 2.3 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

Meanwhile, in November the number of new private cars registered was 8,680, which was 0.1 per cent up from the stipulated period of previous year.

The share of new diesel-driven private cars was 15.6 per cent.

In the January to November period of 2019 a total of 176,039 vehicles were first registered.

Compared to the year before, there was an decrease of 2.8 per cent.

The number of private cars first registered in the January to November period was 105,983, which is 7.3 per cent down from the year before.

The most common passenger car makes first registered in the January to November period were Toyota, Volkswagen and Skoda.
